You were created for joy! Despite believing this to be true, the capacity to savor life, to manage stressors, and to be deeply connected to those we love does not always come naturally. Wounds from the past and current challenges present complicated road blocks that at times seem insurmountable.
I view the search for joy and meaning in life to be both a psychological and spiritual quest, with each individual on a path that is unique: our wiring, beliefs, and history all contribute to how we got to where we are, and each path to growth will also be its own.
It is also my belief that deep within each person and their story resides the wisdom to guide the way to healing. Our inner wise Self dances with the Divine to show us the way forward, one step at a time. It is also true that we are wounded and find healing in the context of relationships; I am here to offer my relationship to hold loving space while we listen together for the voice of your wise inner guide and your Higher Power, and to support you to step into the invitations that will surface.
In practice as a Professional Counselor since 2007, I have narrowed my work to be exclusively with people seeking a blend of therapeutic modalities with spiritual resources. From the therapeutic side I employ Internal Family Systems and EMDR, from the spiritual side I bring Theophistic healing/Immanuel Approach that is Christ-centered, and more broadly enfold diverse ways that individuals connect with their Higher Power. I also welcome people who are struggling in matters of faith (not unusual when trust has been broken due to trauma or spiritual abuse), while still seeking a way to connect with God.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
